Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the 1980s, she began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapooor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. In her early years, when she first started to act as a child actress, most of the films that she made did not succeed. She eventually became one of the most famous actresses in Indian film. Following her marriage she had an absence from the industry before returning to the business. Recently, she played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit won 8 Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She is also known for her charitable works.
